Aksum, previously the centre of the Aksumite Empire, can be reached by plane or by road through the scenic Limalimo terrain, crossing the Tekeze Valley. Aksum is the birthplace of Christianity in Ethiopia with archeological discoveries from the years 320 to be observed in the museum.
